About This Coffee
This coffee comes from the La Morena program in Cubulco, Baja Verapaz — an initiative that supports women coffee farmers in Guatemala. Started in 2016 as a small micro-lot, La Morena has grown to work with over 800 women farmers across Baja Verapaz and Huehuetenango, giving female growers direct market access in a traditionally male-dominated industry.
Grown at 1,600 to 1,800 meters in central Guatemala's rich volcanic soil, the altitude and climate create a slow cherry maturation that develops deep, layered sweetness. The washed process results in a clean, transparent cup where you can taste the terroir directly — indulgent macadamia nut richness and a sweet cookie-like finish that's made this our best seller.
Brewing Tip
Our best seller for a reason - Guatemala is incredibly versatile. It excels in drip machines and French press, where a slightly coarser grind lets the nutty sweetness come through. Try it with a splash of cream to amplify the cookie-like finish.
